Description
The Kunsthistorisches Museum is the largest art museum in Austria, opened in 1891 in a palatial building by Emperor Franz Joseph I to host the incredible art collection owned by the royal Habsburg Family. Today, the museum houses an ‘Egyptian and Near Eastern’ collection, a ‘Collection of Greek and Roman Antiquities’, the ‘Picture Gallery’, ‘Kunstkammer Vienna’, a coin collection and the library.
