IMPERIAL APARTMENTS
The Hofburg was for over six hundred years, both home to the Habsburg royal family, as well as administrative centre and seat of Government for the Austrian Empire. The palace was the winter and main residence of the Habsburgs, which in summer would be traded for the Schönbrunn starting with the 18th century.
SISI MUSEUM
Starting with 2004, the Hofburg also became home to the Sisi Museum, in the Stephan apartments. In the museum, you can observe many personal items as well as garments that belonged to the empress, but also learn more about her life and personality.
SILVER COLLECTION
If you are interested in the dining habits and traditions at royal court, the Silver Collection, the Former Court Silver and Table Room, a collection of items used in the household during the monarchs´ rule, will be a perfect place for you to visit.
Entry ticket includes all three objectives.
