Description
Located opposite the Kunsthistorisches Museum, the Naturhistorisches Museum was commissioned around the same time by Emperor Franz Joseph I and is the perfect mirror image of its sister building. The museum has been displaying artefacts for 250 years and currently holds a collection of over 30 million objects, as well as being the site for vital research in fields such as Solar system origins, evolution of plants, animals and humans, but also prehistoric traditions and customs.
